Structural Engineer
We are looking for a Structural Engineer with experience working on projects for municipal buildings and infrastructure especially those related to the water and wastewater industry.
Candidate must be able to work independently with little oversight in completing design and analysis tasks.
Job Responsibilities
o Perform structural site assessments of municipal infrastructure including buildings, storage tanks, tunnels, etc;
o Perform preliminary and detailed design of new buildings and infrastructure along with modifications of existing facilities;
o Perform calculations required for the sizing and arrangement of structural members;
o Using computer simulations to predict how structures will react under different load conditions;
o Prepare preliminary and detailed design documents and specifications for bid.
o Develop details for structural elements, foundations, connections, etc;
o Review architectural system designs for their inter-relationship and coordination with structural elements;
o Perform code analysis to ensure compliance with appropriate model codes (State building codes, NFPA, BOCA/IBC, etc);
Required Skills
o Experience in the above job responsibilities;
o Previous experience with commercial and municipal projects;
o Proficient in the use of structural analysis software programs;
o Proficient in AutoCAD;
o Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs: Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Required Experience
o BSCE in Civil Engineering
o 10+ years of engineering experience
o Professional Engineering License in Ohio
